Our indoor Canine Hoopers sessions offer a relaxed introduction to hoops, tunnels, barrels and short flowing sequences - all taught through kind,
reward-based training.
There's no competition, no pressure and no expectation that you or your dog already know what you're doing.
Come along, learn something new and have fun together.

Canine Hoopers is a dog activity in which handlers guide their dog around a course of ground-level equipment.
Unlike agility, Hoopers doesn't involve jumping over raised obstacles. Instead, dogs learn to travel through hoops and short tunnels, move around barrels and eventually link individual skills into simple sequences.
As the human half of the team, you'll learn how your movement, positioning and cues can help your dog understand where to go next.
It's a wonderful opportunity to build:
Each session is limited to only three dogs.
Dogs take individual turns in the training area, allowing each team space to learn and receive personal guidance.
Your dog will not be expected to compete a full course immediately. We'll break the activity into achievable pieces, introducing the equipment and gradually linking skillstogether at a pace that suits the dog in front of us.

Depending on the experience and confidence of the dogs attending, we may explore:
Every dog will have breaks between turns. These give the dogs time to rest and the humans time to observe, learn and cheer one another on.
Sessions last approximately 45-60 minutes, depending on the dogs attending and the activities being covered.

These sessions welcome complete beginners, including humans who have never tried Hoopers before.
Dogs of different ages can take part, with activities adapted to their stage, confidence and ability. Your dog doesn't need perfect obedience or an impressive list of cues - they simply need suitable rewards and a willingness to explore with you.
If your dog has an injury, mobility difficulty or health condition, please seek appropriate professional advice before taking part and contact us to discuss whether the session and venue will be suitable.
Indoors Hoopers takes place in our upstairs training room in Keighley.
Your dog will therefore need to manage the stairs comfortably or be small enough for you to carry safely. Please consider your own ability to use the stairs too,

No. Sessions are PAYG, so you can book the selected dates that suit you.
Dogs take individual turns. They will not be expected to run the Hoopers course together.
Bring plenty of small, tasty rewards. your dog's usual comfortable walking equipment and anything they may need to settle between turns. Any additional requirements will be included in your booking information.
